The Trousers are a four piece garage rock/hard rock band from Budapest, Hungary, EU mixing vintage hard rock n roll (The Rolling Stones, Iggy and The Stooges, AC/DC, Motörhead) with modern song-oriented garage rock (The Hellacopters, BRMC).
Nomoredivision.com wrote the following about them: „The four-piece band from Budapest, Hungary called The Trousers rock out better than most bands from the west… The band has the perfect amount of swag, attitude and spirit that has all but been lost amongst mainstream pop/rock.”

The band was formed in 2006, they released their first, a bit more indie-like album PLANETARY PROCESS in 2008, and their first single BLOOD FOR YOU was a huge hit in Hungary but it was also released in France and in the USA. The second album, SOUL MACHINE left all the former indie aspects behind, it was 100% pure hard rock n roll, so it 2011 it was nominated as “best hard rock album of the year” in their home country. In 2013 the band released FREAKBEAT, which was a great step forward. On one of the songs, REAL DEEP GROOVE their long-time hero, Nicke Andersson from Sweden (The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric) played an incredible guitar solo, while the album itself had very positive reviews in Hungary and in several countries all over the world, In 2014 it was nominated for “best hard rock album of the year”.

Next year, 2015 the band published MOTHER OF ILLUSION, which have had enthusiastic critics from all over the world, for example modernrockreviews.com from the US wrote “the energy and enthusiasm are straight forward and contagious, the songs are crafted with a distinct style which never lulls and makes this album an entirely enjoyable listen from beginning to end”. The video for HYSTERICAL ROUTE was also a great success, in Spain it was “video of the world” and had been broadcasted in several countries from Switzerland to Australia.

After touring in European countries in 2016 and 2017 in 2018 the band has finished their 5th album INVISIBLE DARKNESS. Before that they released a 3-song online EP called DANCER FROM THE DANCE including a video for the title track. The album was released online and in cd format in the end of September 2018, while their first vinyl was published in the spring of 2019. INVISIBLE DARKNESS also received great reviews in Hungary, Germany, French, Great Britain and in Canada, rated 8/10 and 9/10. The release of the album was followed by an autumn/winter and spring/summer tour including Hungary, Czeh Republic, Germany and Austria. In the autumn of 2019 and the spring of 2020 The Trousers are supporting Slovakian punk rock legend Konflikt in Czeh Republic and Slovakia, meanwhile they also performing headlinig concerts in other center-European countries.

After the covid pandemia, in 2022 the band started to tour again, in the spring they had an Austrian tour, played some festivals, and finished their sixths album, ANIMAL GUN. It will be out in, November, while one of the singles, HOPE DIES LAST was broadcasted by several European online rock-radios.

The Trousers are a massive live band. They keep on touring constantly; beside the clubs and festivals of their homeland they have played in Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Czeh Republic and other countries. In the recent years the band supported Black Stone Cherry (USA), Peter Hook & The Light (UK), MC5 (USA), The Blue Van (DK), Peter Pan Speedrock (NL), Honky (USA), Atomic Bitchwax (USA) or Barb Wire Dolls (GR).
